For this team project, I worked on an interactive website designed for athletes to train using movement-based games. The concept combines physical activity with digital feedback, creating a fun and competitive experience. In addition to the technical aspect, I focused on creating a clean and visually appealing design that makes the game intuitive and enjoyable to use.
The main challenge was connecting simple physical interactions with a digital system in a responsive and reliable way, while also designing an interface that is clear and engaging. We needed to: Detect when a player waves over a sensor (not precise motion tracking) Ensure fast communication between the sensors and the system Create a game that is intuitive and easy to understand Design a visually appealing interface that enhances the experience Provide real-time feedback and track performance Another challenge was keeping the design clean and readable during fast-paced gameplay.
I collaborated with my team to build a system that combines hardware and a web interface. We used four physical pots, each with a different color and its own sensor Players respond to the color shown on the screen by waving their hand over the matching pot The sensors detect movement and send a signal to a Raspberry Pi, which processes the input and communicates with the website On the software and design side, I focused on: Designing a modern and clean UI with strong use of color Using clear visual cues so players instantly understand what to do Creating a responsive and smooth interface Implementing real-time feedback and animations Displaying results in a structured and visually clear scoreboard
The result is an interactive and visually engaging training tool that combines movement with digital gameplay. Players improve reaction speed in a fun and active way The system responds quickly and reliably The design makes the experience intuitive and enjoyable Scores are clearly displayed, encouraging competition This project highlights my ability to combine hardware, development, and strong visual design into one cohesive experience.
